Job Description: Senior Operations Manager

  • Coordinate operations for large scale mortgage investment company

  • Build and maintain a multi-year mortgage operations roadmap to include productivity and customer experience improvement targets

  • Manage offshore diligence team in regard to escalations, best practices, capacity constraints and daily prioritizations

  • Develop, collaborate, and drive disruptive, innovative solutions in a customer centric environment

  • Build and maintain both internal and customer facing sizing tools/models meant for sizing loans, underwriting to Toorak guidelines, stratifying data, and determining loan eligibility

  • Maintain and update scope of work for internal diligence of 30 year DSCR, bridge, and ground up construction loans

  • Manage workflows between various diligence vendors to ensure SLA turn-times and other critical KPIs are continuously met

  • Work with senior management team regarding strategic initiatives and diligence

  • Resolve operational bottlenecks and friction points in order to quickly purchase assets at scale

  • Construct operational frameworks, working with IT professionals to minimize touchpoints, ensure data accuracy, and timely loan onboarding

  • Review and approve diligence vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment

  • Special projects as requested by management

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience at mortgage conduit, investment bank, asset manager or hedge fund

  • Mortgage expertise with focus in Business Purpose Lending and CRE

  • Knowledge of securitization requirements

  • Previous due diligence and operations experience a plus

  • Effective pipeline management skills

  • Ability to effectively lead a team, identify organizational issues and proactively address to ensure a best in class teaming and culture

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Minimum 4 year degree
