Charles ‘Mac’ Macintosh is the Chief Operating Officer of Toorak Capital Partners. He is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience in the mortgage and capital markets sectors. Prior to joining the Toorak executive team, he was the President of Finance of America (FOA) Home Improvement, where he successfully acquired the Renovate America platform and led its integration, driving a remarkable 30% growth and achieving profitability within a year. His strategic vision culminated in the divestment of the business unit to Apollo (Aqua Finance) in 2024.

Previously, as Managing Director at FOA, Mac spearheaded capital markets across several asset classes. He played a key role in developing FOA’s market-leading proprietary reverse mortgage market. Between reverse and SFR he successfully completed 25 securitizations totaling more than $12 billion.

Before his tenure at Finance of America, Mac served as a founder of FirstKey Holdings (part of Cerberus Capital Management), Head of Structured Products Trading at Raymond James, Head of Capital Markets at Thornburg Mortgage, Director and Head of Mortgage Trading at Merrill Lynch, and as a trader at Lehman Brothers. He started his career as an Investment Banker at CSFB.

Mac holds a BA in Economics from Middlebury College. A passionate advocate for veterans, Mac served on the board of Team Rubicon USA, helping to significantly increase the organization’s revenues, and was also a board member for Hire Heroes, assisting veterans in transitioning to civilian careers.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mac is a competitive triathlete with over 200 triathlon completions, including multiple Ironman events. He is also a former collegiate hockey player and rower. Mac holds citizenship in the Netherlands, Australia, and the USA, and is a member of US/UK MENSA.
